Bonjour! Monsieur Wrestling is back again and, with 2013 drawing to a close, I thought it might be a nice idea to rank the promotions that I have been following throughout the year, as well as provide an insight into what I do and don’t like about what each of them provides.

You might be surprised by the lack of French promotions here, but I’ve been boycotting le catch ever since I was banned from the country following L’incident á Strasbourg in 2008. If that old woman didn’t want to be powerbombed through that table, she shouldn’t have worn one of my masks; I take gimmick infringement very seriously.

Kieran’s Top 50 Tracks of 2013: 10 – 1

It’s a bit of a tradition that over the course of every year I put together a list of the Top 40 tracks that came out. It’s a year-long endeavour that I start on January 1st and is constantly tweaked, updated, scrapped and restarted until it’s perfect and I unleash it upon the world.

This year however, I have a website, and figured if I did a Top 50, I could run ten a day over a week, so that’s what’s occurring. It kinda goes without saying that this is an opinion piece, but being my opinion, that means it’s pretty much fact.

Book Launch: Home Make Me Happy

While this isn’t in the usual purview of The Enthusiast, I was invited to a book launch on Tuesday, and never one to say no to the possibility of free cupcakes, I gladly accepted.

Home Make Me Happy is a book put together by a team of colleagues at Informa PLC’s Manchester office with the goal of raising £10,000 for The Prince’s Trust, and I went along to the launch party to see check it out.

30 Years of WrestleMania: The Austin Era Has Begun

Wow, almost halfway through. I’m as surprised as you that I’m still going with this. If WrestleMania 13 was shaking the last of the New Generation’s cobwebs out of the Federation*cough*SidVicious*cough* then we’re definitely all the way into the Attitude Era now.

Guys like Stone Cold, The Rock, Triple H and Cactus Jack are ruling the roost these days. We’ve even got the WrestleMania debut of The Big Red Machine, and a decent match from Road Dogg!

Phil’s Twelve Days of Christmas

So the festive season is finally here folks and I’ve been reliably informed that Father Christmas has had his MOT on the sleigh and everything is A-OK. Which is good because Christmas is less than 2 weeks away and trying to get replacement sleigh parts at this stage is difficult, even for Ol’ Saint Nick.

I’m sure by now that most of you, like me, are counting down the days to Christmas Day and getting oh-so-excited to see if you’ve made it off the naughty list this year. There’s only 12 short days left and a lot to be done in that time.

With that being the case, I’d like to officially invite you on a magical Yuletide journey. Ladies and Gentleman, boys and girls, Reindeer of all ages…
